Tours and Workshops

Choose ONE of the following:
1. Bring a friend: You will receive a discount of $360 NZD. Your friend receives a discount of $200 NZD; or
2. You've toured with us before: Receive a discount of $360 NZD
3. Early bird bookings: Book and pay your deposit before December 20 2018 and receive a discount of $100.
All discounts are deducted from your Final payment.

What to bring:
Camera, tripod, shutter release
Spare SD card
Warm and wet weather clothing
Waterproof footwear for easy/moderate walks (Paths can be slippery, uneven and in poor condition). Hiking boots or similar is recommended
Head torch for before sunrise and after sunset shoots
Laptop with image editing software (Lightroom, NIK software)
Note: Tour leaders have the right to refuse participation in an activity if the participant does not have gear suitable to the conditions
Non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking.
Full payment is due 90 days prior to tour start date
Payment balance can be made in 3 instalments if this is your preferred option. Discuss this option with us
Your booking is not confirmed until full payment is received
If full payment is not received by the due date we reserve the right to cancel your booking
Payments must be made by bank transfer
If you need to cancel:
Cancellations must be notified in writing to BrentPurcell@mail.com
If you cancel and we are able to fill your spot we will refund you (minus your non-refundable deposit)
If you cancel:
Up to 90 days before tour starts: full refund minus deposit
Between 90 and 60 days before tour starts: 50% refund
Less than 60 days before tour starts: no refund
If we need to cancel::
Although unlikely, we reserve the right to cancel a tour or workshop prior to the start date. We will do this only in extreme circumstances. This could include but is not limited to a pandemic, natural disaster, weather, tour leaders health, too few participants, unforeseen circumstance
A full refund will be offered or you can choose to attend the workshop/tour at an alternate time
Although extremely unlikely If the tour/workshop is terminated during the event there will be no refunds. Ensure you have adequate travel insurance
If you choose to use any loan gear supplied, although insured you are responsible for the insurance excess
Waiver of Liability
You must sign this waiver prior to attending a tour/workshop.
It will confirm:
You are fully aware and accept that there are hazards and unanticipated circumstances involved in any outdoor photography activity
You received a brief induction on possible risks and hazards outlined in our Health and Safety Plan
You have told us of any medical conditions that could impact your safety and/or the safety of others
You voluntarily accept all risks
You understand we take no responsibility for any accidents, injuries, medical conditions, causes of actions, actions, debts, claims, costs or demands of any kind in relation to the workshop/tour.
These include but are not limited to: Death, Injury, Accident, Illness, Medical expenses, Strike, Quarantine
We strongly recommend you have comprehensive travel insurance
In addition, we take no responsibility or liability for::
Personal property or property damage during the duration of the tour or workshop, or any third parties property.
Criminal activity, Political disturbances, Severe environmental disturbances such as earthquakes, Transport failure including but not limited to: failure to arrive on time, scheduling, refunds or changes to airline tickets including but not limited to interstate, overseas or your home country
We reserve the right to make any amendments to accommodation, transport or itinerary specifics if we deem it to be in the interest and well-being of the group and so long as it does not impact the purpose of the tour/workshop
Keeping People Safe
Everyone on the tour/workshop has a responsibility to themselves and each other to behave safely
We are not medical professionals and cannot be relied upon for any specific needs you may need in this regard. There will however, always be a leader on tour with a current first aid certificate and an adequate first aid kit. In case of emergency, we will assist as much as possible with emergency services and have procedures for this.
We have a comprehensive audited Health and Safety plan
We will give you information on how to stay safe during the tour/workshop
We will take all reasonable care to look after your safety and well-being throughout the tour
Follow all instructions, rules, procedures and safe ways of participating
Take all precautions within relation to your general health and safety
Wear your own suitable footwear and suitable clothing for cold and wet environments
‘Look out’ for the health and safety of others
We reserve the right to remove any participant we believe to be infringing on the rights or enjoyment of other participants or who is behaving in a way that puts themselves or others at risk. No refund will be given in this case and we will not be responsible for any costs associated with this decision.
Bring any medication you require for specific health conditions with you and have it with you at all times as will not be available otherwise. Any allergies you have must be made clear before the tour and we will do all we can to accommodate your needs in this respect, however ultimately the responsibility lies with the participant.
A moderate level of fitness is required. The tracks we walk are defined by the Department of conservation as:
Easy: Walking track
Duration: Gentle walking from a few minutes to a day.
Suitable for: People with low to moderate fitness and abilities. Some tracks suitable for mountain biking.
Standard: Track is mostly well formed, some sections may be steep, rough or muddy. Clearly signposted. Stream and river crossings are bridged.
Footwear required: Walking shoes or light tramping/hiking boots.
We take the security of your personal data very seriously. We do not knowingly store any personal information beyond essentials to operate the site and/or booking payments, of which any sensitive information is duly protected. All our online bookings/reservations are currently managed by Ading Attamimi and Brent Purcell. While we choose carefully and work closely with our booking and payment services to secure your data, we cannot be held legally responsible for any unfortunate compromising of said personal data. We also will not share any personally identifiable information of yours with 3rd party vendors, resellers, sponsors, or otherwise without your written consent.
Group and Participant Photos, videos and any other recording media
We will take group photos and recordings during tours/workshops and may occasionally post them on our social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter etc) and use them for marketing purposes. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you allow us to use any photo of you taken during the tour to be used for promotional/commercial purposes. These images will not be used by or licensed to any third party.
Note: Itinerary is subject to change based on weather, time constraints, conditions or unforeseen circumstances in order to give you the best experience.
